When is it safe to leave home?

  • At least 24 hours have passed after you last had a fever (without using medicine to reduce your fever); and COVID-19 symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, diarrhea) are getting better; and 
  • At least 5 days have passed since the first day you got sick or since your first positive test for COVID-19. 
  • If you are unable to wear a mask when around others during 6-10 days of your isolation period, you should complete a 10-day isolation period at home instead.
    • Some exceptions apply to Health Care Workers

How to get support to safely stay at home?

There may be support available for people who have been impacted by COVID-19. Possible support could include food boxes, rent/utilities assistance and more.

How to slow the spread of Covid-19:

  • Wear a mask that covers your mouth and nose when indoors and outdoors in crowded areas.
  • Social distance at least six feet away from those whom you do not live with.
  • Wash your hands frequently and clean surfaces with disinfectant.
  • Avoid attending large gatherings including those with members who do not live in the same household as you.
  • Get vaccinated!
