Oregon MothersCare seeks to improve access to prenatal care within the first trimester for all people in Oregon. OMC helps connect pregnant people to the services they need for a healthy pregnancy. OMC provides these services to all clients free of charge.
OMC helps connect people with:
- Free pregnancy testing
- Oregon Health Plan (OHP) application assistance
- Prenatal care
- Dental care
- Other health care appointments
- Women Infants and Children (WIC) nutritional services
- Maternal and Child Health Services
- Other pregnancy and health-related information and services
Who is eligible to participate in OMC?
- Oregon Health Plan
- Private insurance
- CWM/CWMX
- No insurance
Early prenatal care is important because it:
- Helps identify and take care of health problems before they become serious
- Helps make sure your baby is growing well
- Gives you the chance to ask questions and learn about your pregnancy
- Helps you learn ways to feel better while you are pregnant
