Our primary responsibilities in the Food, Pool, and Lodging program are to license and inspect facilities used by the general public to ensure that they are safe and sanitary. The kinds of facilities we license and inspect include:

Food Handler Training Food Handler Training is now conducted online through a partnership with Lane County.

Hotels/Motels, Bed & Breakfast Lodging Laws and Regulations

The requirements governing the licensing and operation of hotels and motels are established in Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) & Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR). These requirements are contained in ORS 446 Tourist Facilities and OAR 333 Division 29 Travelers' Accommodation rules.

Licensed Facility Inspection Reports

The Oregon Health Authority has launched a new web portal that will allow people to easily find inspection reports for food, public pool and lodging facilities, such as restaurants, swimming pools and hotels across Oregon.

The portal is provided as part of a software update to the statewide licensing and inspection system. The site will show semi-annual, biennial and annual routine inspections as well as reinspections.

**Please note that there is a 14-day lag from the date of inspection until it is shown on the website**

Mobile Food Units, Commissary, Warehouse & Vending Laws and Regulations

The requirements governing the licensing and operation of commissaries, vending warehouses, and mobile food units are established in Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) & Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR). These requirements are contained in ORS 624 Food Service Facilities and OAR 333 Division 162 Mobile Food Unit Rules.

Organizational Camps Laws and Regulations

The requirements governing the licensing and operation of an Organizational Camp are established in Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) & Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR). These requirements are contained in ORS 446 and OAR 333 Division 30 Organizational Camps.

Recreational Vehicle Parks Laws and Regulations

The requirements governing the licensing and operation of Recreational Vehicle Parks are established in Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) & Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR). These requirements are contained in ORS 446 Tourist Facilities and OAR 333 Division 31 Construction and Maintenance of Recreation Parks.

Restaurants, Bed & Breakfast Food Service, Hotel & Motel Breakfast Service & Catering Operations Laws and Regulations

The requirements governing the licensing and operation of public food service facilities are established in Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) & Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR). These requirements are contained in ORS 624 Food Service Facilities and OAR 333 Divisions 150-170 Food Sanitation Rules.

Temporary Restaurants & Farmers Markets Food Booth Guidelines

If you are planning on operating a temporary food booth, Oregon Department of Human Services has developed a booklet to help you in setting up and operating your food booth.

Commercial License

Operating a temporary food booth requires a license for each event. If you are a for-profit business, a license application is available for your commercial temporary restaurant.
