Adult & Children's Foster Care

Overview

Foster Care is a comprehensive service in which an individual resides with a foster home provider who is responsible for providing supervision, training, and support specific to the individual's needs and desired outcomes. Foster home providers and staff assist consumers with activities of daily living such as medication administration, hygiene, and money management. They also facilitate the individuals' ability to access community resources that increase integration and independence, as identified on the Individual Support Plan. Foster care services are provided in a family home, but not the home of a parent, guardian, or family member.
