Emergency Preparedness

Emergency supplies

As of July 1st, if the community is in need of a face covering they are available for free at Public Health in Lebanon and Albany during business hours. (Limit 2 per person – limited quantities available)

Overview

Public Health is working with other county departments to develop emergency response plans to natural and man-made situations that would impact a significant portion of our population. Public Health coordinates with the Linn County Sheriff's Office, members of other counties, and the State of Oregon in establishing unified emergency preparedness plans and to enhance cooperation between agencies.

Public Health plays a critical part in responding to local events that involve health issues. Responding to large-scale health events will require quick and efficient health preparedness by local, state and federal agencies. Preparedness and prevention requires numerous partners and planning.

The U.S. Public Health system and primary healthcare providers must be prepared to address various health issues that may occur during natural or man made disasters or during disease outbreaks.

Prepare Yourself and Your Family

It is important that all community members be prepared for any emergency. Having a minimum 3-day emergency supply kit is highly recommended. Learn how to prepare an emergency supply kit by visiting ready.gov today.

Families also need to have a plan in place to manage emergency situations. For more information go to:
