Oregon MothersCare exist to improve access to prenatal care within the first trimester, free of charge, for all pregnant people in Oregon.
Early prenatal care is important because it helps you identify and take care of health problems before they become serious. It helps make sure your baby is growing well, and gives you the chance to ask questions and learn about your pregnancy. It also helps you learn ways to feel better while you are pregnant.
For example, Oregon MothersCare can connect you with:
- Free pregnancy testing
- Oregon Health Plan (OHP) application assistance
- Prenatal care
- Dental care
- Other health care appointments
- Women Infants and Children (WIC) nutritional services
- Maternal and Child Health Services
- Other pregnancy and health-related information and services

Oregon MothersCare is offered free of charge, and every pregnant person in Oregon is eligible to participate, whether you have insurance (including private insurance, Oregon Health Plan, or CWM/CWX), or no insurance at all.
