HIV
Who’s at Risk and Why Get Tested?
HIV testing is very important. If you know your status then you can start receiving treatment and prevent passing diseases on to anyone else. Everyone is recommended to get tested for HIV at least once in their life.
You may benefit from getting HIV testing frequently (every 3-6 months) if you are a man who has sex with men, are having unprotected sex with people of unknown HIV status or sharing needles to inject drugs.
Linn County Health Services meets people where they are in life and works to reduce the negative effects of drug use and risky sexual behaviors. Additional services listed are confidential and FREE of charge.
